Then, in 2006 they came back and won exactly 4 games over.500, and then in 2009 they won 4 games and the National League pennant, again. And then they had their last record of.500 in 2015.
Well, the Yankees are back to being the best team in baseball for the first time since the ’70s (and ’60s). This year they have a record of 2 games over.500 (and a record of 8 games over.500) and are in the hunt for the National League Championship Series. I can’t get enough of them.
I love them. I love them soo much. I love the Yankees. I have never been a Yankees fan, but now that they are back and have a record of 5 under.500, I guess I’m a fan now. The only thing that makes this season any less than a dream is that I have to see the Yankees play in the World Series again, again.
At least the Yankees are playing some good baseball right now. But with a record of 5 under.500, they have their work cut out for them. The biggest problem is that they don’t seem to have any great pitching. The bullpen has been good thus far, but it’s not like the Yankees’ pitching staff has been great. The team has had problems with the bullpen since their 2nd game of the year, and the third game of the year.
So now the Yankees start the season 2 games back, and their pitching staff has been a disaster to start the season. The problem is that at this point in the season, the pitchers are not the key to the team’s pitching woes. A lot of people are saying that the Yankees are in trouble, but they arent. They are starting to get their pitching staff back together because the bullpen is coming together.
In the Yankees’ 3rd game of the year, Yankee relievers combined to allow a total of 26 runs and 9 hits in the Yankees’ 7-2 loss to the Boston Red Sox. The Yankees are now 3 games back of the Baltimore Orioles and they are also 2 games back of the Tampa Bay Rays. In game one of the series against the Rays, the bullpen was shut down for much of the game, and that was not good news.
