To me, interest is something of a dichotomy. On the one hand, interest is the sense of having an investment to earn money. Yet, on the other hand, interest could just be the act of waiting for something to happen. I think I am in the middle.
You can think of interest as being the opposite of “laziness”; it’s about waiting for anything to happen. This is a great model to use because anyone can create a short-term interest-earning investment. And yes, it’s a time-consuming one. It takes a while to earn that interest back. But it’s a great way to get some extra time into your day.
I like this model because it isn’t tied to work. Its the opposite of work, where you are simply waiting for something to happen. It’s about waiting for something to happen, but it’s not about work.
As such, its a great way to have fun and get extra time into your day. This is not to say its a time-consuming process, it just takes time for an interest to be earned back. It doesnt take days to earn interest back, its a process that takes time for an interest to be earned back. This is a time-saving process. If you are in a time crunch or you want to save some time, this is the way to go.
The idea behind short interest theory, to put it simply, is that one person’s good deed could be worth your good fortune. Maybe you’re getting a free massage from your therapist or maybe you want to get a free haircut. The act of getting a massage can be worth a lot of money, so maybe you should do that on your next massage.
When a person is taking a long time off from a job or studying or doing something else, they’re probably not the kind of person who is likely to spend long hours in a room, or even on their own, waiting for their time to go out. If they are not in a time crunch or they’re not in the habit of going out, then they’re probably not worth what they spend.
A friend of mine spends his days playing poker with his buddies, doing volunteer work, and watching anime with his wife. He rarely goes out and has no interest in doing so, but he makes up for it by spending hours of his time by the pool. If you’re an amateur pimp, your only hope of getting a massage that night is to convince yourself that it’s worth it.
A good place to start is by a place that has a lot of activity. Here we have a place where you can just hang out and watch, or listen, talk, and talk. You can also have a nice chat with friends, or a meeting with a few strangers. When you get there, you can also give a couple minutes to your friends to come and talk about what you’re reading about, where you’re going to go, and what you’re doing.
The next time you meet someone who has a lot of time to talk, ask yourself, “What’s a lot?” and then say, “What am I doing?” If you’re doing anything productive, then you’re a lot, since your activity increases your likelihood of actually doing something productive.
