The options you have for getting what you want are not always about what you want. I don’t know why anyone would think their choices are more important than others, but it’s never a good situation to be in.
What we think is important is often the thing we want the most. In the case of a video game, like video games, it’s a lot less about what the game wants you to do and more about what you want. That’s why I like the video game example above. It’s about what I want to do and what the game wants me to do.
A good example of this came up in the recent interview where I showed you a piece of my portfolio. In it I showed you what I consider to be an important piece of art. I also showed you a number of games that I think are important pieces of art too. You dont have to agree with me, but it is fun to look at.
Some people seem to confuse the concept of an art piece with the concept of an idea or design. This is why the video game example above is so damn useful. It shows you what the game wants you to do. You dont have to necessarily agree with it, but it is fun to look at.
You dont have to agree with them, but it is fun to look at.
There are two ways to look at the game’s art. The first is to look at the game’s design and then at the art. The second is to look at the gameplay and then at the art. In the first case you wont be able to say if its good or bad design, but you should agree that it is an enjoyable piece of art.
In the second case, you should agree that the art is enjoyable.
This is the case in both the above link-building scenarios: the more we look at the game design (the art), the more we agree that the game design is enjoyable, even though there are a few aspects that we don’t like.
The two most important aspects in game design are story, and presentation. In the first case, there are aspects of the gameplay which are enjoyable, but the art itself is uninspired. The second case is the opposite. The art is enjoyable, the gameplay is enjoyable, and the story is enjoyable, but the art is horrible.
Personally I disagree with the statement that the game design is enjoyable. But I do think that the art is important, so I’ll go into that in a bit.
