oibda is the name given to a concept by Dr. Martin Seligman. Seligman states that there is a place in our brain called the “cognitive or emotional cortex” where our “self-awareness” resides. His words: “‘Self-awareness’ refers to a part of the brain that is dedicated to understanding what we are and how we act.
Here we go again, the more we look up on the Internet and then back to the web, the more we look up on the Web and then back to the web. On the other hand, we can look at the world from another perspective and see a world that is not just our own. We can also experience it from a more objective, non-judgmental perspective, and we can experience it from a more scientific perspective.

As a scientist, I can only wonder at the way we use such a broad term and label ourselves in so many ways. This is why I believe we have a tendency to be self-centered, even if we try to be objective. I can only imagine what the other views, perspectives, and interpretations might be.

It’s basically the ability to pay attention to, and understand, what is going on inside our own minds. We are often told that self-awareness is a core ingredient for success in life, but we should only really be self-aware when it comes to choosing how to think about ourselves.
