I’d like to say I’m not a master of any one argument or tactic, but the truth is that I have one. I know that if I had to choose between the two, I’d rather have the other. I’ve used this tactic in my own arguments in the past, but I never considered it as the sole method of persuasion.
The reason I use moral suasion is that I want you to be able to hear me and to have a chance to convince you of the truth of what I say. In other words, I just want you to listen to my arguments and not try to convince you of my side of the story.

I also found that they worked better when it was a discussion over a cup of coffee with someone who is not trying to trick you, but rather trying to help and understand you.
The problem is that there are a lot of people out there who think that they can be manipulative and they just do it in order to succeed. They think they can get someone to do something they didnt want to do.

They may have made a mistake or made a small mistake which they felt should not be punished, but which turns out to be a problem that can be fixed.
